“As madridistas we will never forget his career and his outstanding conduct during all this time. Real Madrid is and will always be his home, and we wish him and all his family the best of luck in this new chapter in his career.”
The likelihood of Asensio signing with PSG is widely acknowledged. The news of his imminent transfer to the Parc des Princes follows closely after PSG boss Christophe Galtier confirmed that Lionel Messi will be leaving the Ligue 1 champions at the end of his current contract this summer.
Real Madrid are looking to replace the departing Asensio with a recall of Brahim Diaz who is currently on loan at AC Milan.
