Amid interest from Tottenham, Arne Slot has stated that he will remain at Feyenoord and has signed a new contract at the club.
Tottenham had expressed a strong desire to acquire Slot’s services following his successful season at Feyenoord, where he clinched the Eredivisie title.
However, the 44-year-old decided to stay put and continue in the Netherlands to build up on what he has achieved thus far.
“I’m not done here yet,” Slot said after the announcement of his new deal, which runs to 2026.
“We have had a wonderful season with Feyenoord, with the championship as a wonderful reward for all the hard work that has been put in, but I really want to continue building.
“After the summer, an adventure awaits in the Champions League and there is a national title to defend. Enough to look forward to, so I am proud to be and remain Feyenoord’s trainer in Rotterdam.”

His renewal means that Tottenham’s managerial search continues. The London side have a history of being rejected by top managers in the business.
Acting head coach Ryan Mason believes that he is prepared to take on the full-time role at Spurs.
However, despite being in his second stint as caretaker manager of the club, the 31-year-old has only secured one victory out of five games during this recent period in charge of Tottenham.
