Discussions between Arne Slot and Feyenoord are set to take place regarding his future, with a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur increasingly likely.
Tottenham are making preparations to formally approach Slot to fill their vacant managerial position, and the 44-year-old is reportedly open to the idea of moving to the Premier League.
In an effort to retain Slot’s services, Feyenoord have presented him with an enticing new contract after he led the club to the Eredivisie title this season. They are eager to ascertain his commitment to the team.
Slot did not downplay the speculation linking him to Tottenham and his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is scheduled to meet with Feyenoord to discuss his future. If Slot expresses his desire to leave, Spurs are expected to intensify their pursuit of him.
Despite the interest from Tottenham, Slot still has two years remaining on his current contract, and Feyenoord’s general manager, Dennis te Kloese, has expressed his expectation that Slot will stay. However, the club would be entitled to compensation, which could amount to over £12 million.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are actively expanding their search for a permanent successor to Antonio Conte. Talks have taken place with former Spain and Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, and the club holds admiration for Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim, Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, and Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou.
