Manchester City ran riot on their local rivals in a 6-3 thrashing at the Etihad with both Erling Haaland and Foden on the score sheet with hat-tricks.
With his second of the game Foden scored his 50th goal in all competitions for Manchester City but he wasn’t done yet. The England international grabbed himself a hat-trick in the second half to take him onto 51 goals for Guardiola’s side.
What his goals mean is that at just 22 years and 127 days old, Foden has become the youngest player under Guardiola to reach the milestone of 50 goals.
He overtakes Messi who reached the milestone at 22 years and 162 days to become the quickest to the feat.
