Boost for Chelsea as N’Golo Kante returns to training

N’Golo Kante has returned to Chelsea training after being sidelined since August due to a hamstring injury sustained in the Blues’ match against London rivals Tottenham.

Kante has returned to Chelsea training, with the club releasing photos of the midfielder in group action at Cobham.

It’s welcome news for Graham Potter ahead of a mammoth month ahead, with the Blues scheduled to play nine matches across October in all competitions.

Often regarded as the heart of the Chelsea midfield, Kante has been a big miss for the Blues with the team having won only two of the six games he has missed so far.

The 31-year-old also missed the Nations League after not being part of Didier Deschamps’s France squad to face Austria and Denmark, as they prepare for November’s World Cup in Qatar.

However, now that he’s back in training, it gives his country a boost ahead of the World Cup and also his club as they try to navigate life under new boss Potter.
