AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has boosted his street cred by linking up with British rapper Stormzy who released his anticipated music video for ‘Mel Made Me Do It’.
Halfway through the video, Stormzy drops the line “I prefer not to speak like I’m Jose”, and follows it by actual audio from a real Jose Mourinho press conference where he said: “I prefer really not to speak, if I speak, I am in trouble”.
The camera pans into a room of Stormzy’s entourage, with Mourinho standing to the side. As the camera gets closer, both the grime MC and Mourinho put their index fingers to their mouths indicating the gesture for “be quiet”. Meanwhile, the rest of the stand-ins start to jump around and dance, in an impactful sequence.
The track is the Stormzy’s first solo effort in three years and it is already being hailed as one of his best songs to date.

Another celebrity who made an appearance in the video is 100 and 200 meter world record holder Usain Bolt.
The opening line of the song states: “I’ve been the GOAT for so long I guess it’s not exciting when I win”. Which could be the reason why Stormzy decided to feature Mourinho and Bolt as they are often regarded as GOATs of their respective fields.
