Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri made history on Sunday as he became the Premier League’s youngest-ever player after coming on as a substitute in the Gunners’ 3-0 win at Brentford.
The English midfielder, who was born in March 2007, replaced Fabio Vieira in stoppage time at Brentford Community Stadium.
At 15 years, 5 months and 23 days, Nwaneri broke the record previously held by Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott. The Liverpool midfielder was 16 years and 30 days old when he played for Fulham in 2019.
