According to reports, Arsenal have agreed a £45 million deal with Manchester City for Gabriel Jesus.
The forward reportedly agreed personal terms with the Gunners over a five-year deal on Sunday after an agreement was reached between the clubs on Friday.
Jesus becomes Arsenal’s third summer recruit after signing Brazilian winger Marquinhos from Sao Paulo and Fabio Vieira from FC Porto.
Unlike the other two signings, Jesus will have no problem adjusting to the Premier League having been conversant with its demands at Manchester City.
The 25-year-old scored 58 goals and provided 29 assists in the league since joining Manchester City in 2016-17.
Following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, signing a striker to fill up the attacking void was imperative for Arsenal.
Jesus will no doubt fare well alongside Eddie Nketiah who was recently tied down to a new long-term contract by the club.
However, the Brazilian does not just bring goals but a wealth of experience having won four Premier League titles at the Etihad, as well as three League Cups and one FA Cup.
