The Nigeria Football Federation have announced the appointment of Jose Peseiro as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles subject to agreement of personal terms between the NFF and Mr Peseiro.
Peseiro is announced once again by the NFF as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles after efforts to previously land the Portuguese proved abortive.
Earlier this year, the NFF had announced his appointment however, the 62-year-old could not agree terms with the NFF so talks broke down and the appointment was suspended.
The former Real Madrid assistant took to social media to announce that a deal was not met following a disagreement regarding contractual clauses and financial matters.
He wrote: “After several weeks of negotiations, during which several news came out, on the part of the Nigerian Football Federation, that I would be the coach of their national team, from the end of AFCON 2021, a fact that I never confirmed, these were not materialized due to disagreement regarding contractual clauses and financial matters.”
However, the former Porto manager has once again been mentioned as taking over the Head Coach role by the NFF and it remains to be seen if personal terms would be agreed this time around.
