According to various reports from Brazil, Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Sao Paulo winger Marquinhos.
The 19-year-old is reportedly eager to join the Gunners after having rejected several contract extension offers made by Sao Paulo.
According to the Daily Mail, Marquinhos signed a five year contract in 2019 but FIFA have refused to accept it as he was underage when he signed.
Hence going by normal regulations, the contract is only valid for three years. It is in lieu of this that the club are willing to cash in on the teenager rather than risk having to lose him for nothing.
Arsenal will reportedly pay €3.5 million to Sao Paulo in order to secure the services of the Brazilian winger.
Mikel Arteta’s side are also very much interested in signing Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus as they continue their plans of bolstering their attack.

The Gunners continue to be on the look out for a striker having not found a replacement since the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.
After missing out on Dusan Vlahovic, they have their eyes firmly set on Jesus who they hope will bring in the much needed firepower to the squad.
The Brazilian would reportedly cost around £50 million if he were to leave Pep Guardiola’s side. More than the price tag however, what would worry Arsenal is the amount of interest the 25-year-old is garnering, with many top clubs in Europe also vying for his signature.
