Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez appealed to Elon Musk to restore his verified blue tick on Twitter and the Algerian had his plea granted.
The Algeria international recently had his blue tick on Twitter revoked for reasons which are not clear.
Mahrez has over three million followers on the social media platform and indeed had a verified blue tick but for some reason it was no longer there.
The City star took matters in his own hands and begged new Twitter owner Elon Musk to reinstate his blue tick.
“Bro @ElonMusk give me my blue tick back,” Mahrez posted on Twitter.

Musk seems to have heard the appeal made by Mahrez because his blue tick was reinstated after a few hours.
Despite seeming desperate to get his blue tick back, Twitter verification will be the least of Mahrez concern right now as attention shifts to their Champions League tie against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
Pep Guardiola’s side came out on top with a slender advantage in the first leg of the semi-final, defeating Los Blancos 4-3 at the Etihad.
However, they must not relent if they wish to secure a final spot and edge closer to securing a long evaded European title.
