Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti made a joke pretending not to know who Antonio Rudiger was when asked about the transfer situation of the Chelsea defender.
According to reports, Rudiger has agreed terms with the Spanish giants after making it clear to Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea that he would be moving on in the summer after his contract expires.
Following Los Blancos’ 4-3 defeat in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final tie against Manchester City, the Madrid boss was quizzed concerning the transfer.
Ancelotti laughed and pretended not to know about the transfer speculation or even who Rudiger was.
“Toni Rudiger? Toni who? Who’s this?” he said in a beIN Sports interview while giving a wry smile.
Then he added: “He’s still a Chelsea player. I can’t say anything about this.”

The Germany international is set to commit to a four-year contract and earn more than the £230,000-per-week deal Chelsea were prepared to pay him to stay.
A number of top European clubs including Manchester United and Juventus were reportedly interested in the signature of the 29-year-old but Real Madrid was his preferred option.
After getting former Bayern Munich defender David Alaba on a free transfer last summer, Los Blancos have now landed another solid signing in Rudiger who will no doubt bolster up their defence.
