Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has set a new Premier League record after his side’s win over Burnley on Saturday.
The Spaniard was at the heart of defence as City saw off their opponents in a 2-0 routine win for the league leaders.
Laporte reached a landmark of 100 appearances in the Premier League at Turf Moor putting on a dominant display and also breaking a record as well.
The 27-year-old set a new record for having collected the most points after 100 matches surpassing the likes of Didier Drogba, Nemanja Vidic and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Laporte has won 82, drawn eight and lost 10 of his 100 matches in the Premier League amounting to a total of 254 points.
The record puts him ahead of the likes of teammate Ederson Moraes and Drogba who both reached the landmark with 246 points.
Liverpool defender Alexander-Arnold follows closely behind with 245 points, Vidic with 243 and Gabriel Jesus with 242.
