Gundogan has managed to achieve this Premier League record only because Pep Guardiola now trusts him more.
The 31-year-old struggled to break into the first team following his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2016.
A versatile box-to-box midfielder, Gundogan showcases his defensive qualities and also has a keen eye for goal.
Other high scoring Germans in the Premier League include; Jurgen Klinsmann and Uwe Rostler who both have 29 goals and Leroy Sane who bagged 25 goals before leaving Man City for Bayern Munich.
