Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has revealed that midfielder Michael Olise is yet to consult him on the decision on which country to represent with the player eligible to represent the Super Eagles at senior level.
Olise is faced with a huge decision as he is eligible to represent as many as four countries including the Super Eagles at the senior level.
The 20-year-old was born in England to a Nigerian father and a French-Algerian mother which makes him eligible to represent either Nigeria, England, France or Algeria.
Olise represented France at youth level but his career at senior level remains undecided with the Super Eagles reportedly keeping a keen eye on him.
Speaking ahead of Crystal Palace’s league game against Manchester City on Monday, Vieira praised Olise but admitted the decision about which country he chooses to represent is entirely up to the player.
“This is his decision he has to make as a player. This is a family decision, he didn’t come to me to ask me any advice,” he said.
“What is important as well for Michael is that his focus and concentration has to be on Crystal Palace and how to keep performing like he has been in the last couple of games.
