PSG endured a dismal 1-0 loss at Nice on Saturday night with the absence of star forward Kylian Mbappe very obvious.
Both sides missed a lot of chances and just when it seemed like the match was going to end in a stalemate, the hosts grabbed a late win at the Allianz Riviera.
Substitute Andy Delort was on target just two minutes from time to hand Les Parisiens their second consecutive away defeat in the league.
Things could have been worse for PSG as the hosts were awarded a penalty deep into stoppage time.
Mauro Icardi was penalised for a harsh tackle on Jordan Lotomba but the decision was overturned to a free-kick after VAR confirmed that the challenge was made outside the box.
The visitors calmly held on to their lead for the remainder of the match to secure the win and precious three points.
It is interesting to note that Nice have now remained unbeaten against PSG this season with Christopher Galtier’s side managing to get four points against the league leaders.
They also grabbed a French Cup win after defeating Mauricio Pochettino’s men on penalties.
The visitors were in glaring need of their highest goal scorer who missed the trip due to suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.
So often the difference maker, with Mbappe absent against Nice, PSG lacked the cutting edge that is often attributed to the Frenchman.

The front trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr and Angel Di Maria didn’t do much to threaten their hosts and PSG were made to pay by conceding a late goal.
“It was an even game and really we were in control, even if we didn’t create many chances,” Pochettino said after the match.
“Our opponents had a few situations, mainly in transitions, and they took the chance that came their way at the end. Honestly there is not much to analyse.”
The Argentinian blamed the timing of the fixture as it came ahead of his side’s preparation for the Champions League return leg against Real Madrid.
“You need to take the context into account. The Nantes match came just after a Champions League game and this match comes as we are preparing for a big European game as well.
“Without any doubt we said we needed to focus on a very tough game in Nice, but everyone around us is talking about the Champions League.
“It is not always easy to handle these situations and have the energy and clear heads to focus properly.”
Despite the loss, PSG still hold a commanding 13-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 with 62 points against their rival’s 49 points.
