Sevilla have made their La Liga title quest harder for themselves after dropping points against Alaves on Friday.
Sevilla who are second on the table, were held to a goalless draw by La Liga strugglers Alaves who are fighting a relegation battle in 18th place.
Following the draw, Real Madrid can open up an eight-point lead at the top of the La Liga standings if they win their match against Real Sociedad later today.
Both sides had their chances to break the deadlock in the first half. The visitors thought they had taken the lead when Thomas Delaney’s effort deflected into the net off teammate Youssef En-Nesyri, but their celebrations were cut short by the offside flag.

The hosts’ recent home form has been integral as they continue their quest for survival. Alaves have only lost one of their last six games at the Estadio Mendizorrotza.
