Paris Saint-Germain are working on a new contract deal for world-class talent Kylian Mbappe that would see him earn more than £500k per week according to reports.
If Mbappe agrees to sign the contract, it would make him the highest paid player in the world.
The World Cup winner is a rare talent that no team can afford to let go, hence it’s understandable that PSG are doing all it takes to make him stay at Parc des Princes.
Mbappe will become a free agent as his contract expires in June. This will bring his four-year spell at the Parc des Prince to an end.
There has been widespread speculations and rumours about Mbappe’s future, with various sources reporting that big clubs across Europe are keeping a close eye on his situation at PSG.
Multiple sources have strongly linked the PSG talisman to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid had initially tried to sign Mbappe from Monaco, when he pushed for a move away from the club in 2017.
However, PSG were on hand to challenge him to become a hometown hero by signing with them instead of a move abroad so he agreed and chose them over Madrid.
It is no secret that Mbappe has expressed his desire to play for Los Blancos. In his autobiography, he pictured himself daydreaming about wearing a Madrid uniform and meeting his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappe also revealed he asked to leave PSG last summer.
“I wanted to discover something else,” he said.
“I had been in the French league for six or seven years. I’ve given everything at Paris and I think I’ve done well.
“To arrive at 18, post-youth development, and do everything I have, I think that’s something remarkable.”

Real Madrid also made moves to sign the 23-year-old last summer. They reportedly offered PSG £200m but the club rejected the offer. This is despite standing the risk of losing their €180m signing on a free transfer the following summer.
PSG are still unwilling to let Mbappe go and The Independent reports that PSG are getting ready to entice him with a record contact deal in excess of £500k.
There have been speculations that Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, will walk away from his pursuit of the youngster if he fails to sign for Madrid in the coming summer. He would instead turn his sights to Borrusia Dortmund’s Norwegian ace Erling Haaland.
Other reports suggest that Premier League giants Liverpool are ready to join the chase for Mbappe if Real Madrid pulls out.
After his match winning goal against his dream club Real Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 clash, Mbappe told Movistar of his plans for the future:
“I have not decided my future. I play for Paris Saint Germain, one of the best clubs in the world. As I said, I give my best and we will see what happens next season.”
Mbappe will be a free agent when his contract runs out in June if he turns down PSG’s over £500k deal.
Do you think Mbappe will choose the above £500k contract deal over his dream club? The clock is ticking.
