Sevilla have announced the signing of Anthony Martial from Manchester United on a loan deal till the end of the season.
The deal will see Sevilla pay the 26-year-old’s complete wages during the duration of the loan but there would be no loan fee involved. There is also no option to buy in the deal.
Martial has reportedly chosen to take a pay cut to push through with the loan move to Sevilla. The French forward has reportedly been one of the unhappy players at Man United who have been looking for a way out of the club for regular football.
His agent Philippe Lamboley revealed as far back as December that his client wanted to leave the club in search of regular playing time.
Martial has made only four starts for Man United in all competitions this season and would be hoping Sevilla give him more minutes to show what he is capable of.
With the year also being a World Cup year, Martial hopes to revive his career in Sevilla and put himself in contention to be selected in the France squad. He has 30 caps to his name for Les Bleus but has often found himself in and out of the team.

It seems like a long time ago when Martial became the world’s most expensive teenager when he joined United from Monaco in 2015. The forward went on to score 79 times in 269 appearances for the club.
Injuries, lack of form and the presence of other players like Marcus Rashford, Elanga, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Edinson Cavani has pushed him down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Martial joins Sevilla who are presently placed second in La Liga and just four points behind table-toppers Real Madrid as they search for their first title since 1946.
Martial could snap up his first La Liga appearance when Sevilla face Osasuna on Saturday, February 5.
