Aston Villa are making big moves in this summer transfer window with a number of signings already acquired.
The club has successfully signed Emiliano Buendia, Ashley Young, Axel Tuanzebe and Danny Ings all in this summer’s transfer window and according to reports, they aren’t done yet.
After Jack Grealish completed his move to Manchester City for a fee of £100m, Aston Villa have already swung into action with the surprise signing of Danny Ings from Southampton and a few other signings.
Villa paid Southampton £25m for the striker with an option to extend his three-year deal by one year and negotiations over price was completed within a day.
This is seen as a big move by Aston Villa because given his pedigree, many people had expected Ings to be the replacement of Sergio Aguero at Manchester City or Harry Kane when he leaves Tottenham.
However, Aston Villa banked on the fact that Southampton can’t allow Ings to leave for free next summer because he has only one year left in his contract.
Aston Villa were the only club to make an offer for the player and Southampton saw it as an opportunity to cash in on the striker.
That was just the latest in Aston Villa’s books as the Villans are still eyeing big moves for Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse and Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell.

Aston Villa shocked the Premier League when they completed the signing of Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City. This is a player who has been on Arsenal’s wish list for a very long time and had an impressive season in the Championship with the Canaries.
They also completed the signing of Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of €30. The Jamaican is a player who was wanted last season by Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham.
Villa have also signed Ashley Young on a free transfer after his contract expired at Inter Milan and Manchester United’s defender Axel Tuanzebe on a season-long loan deal.
As it stands, Aston Villa will hardly feel the absence of their talisman, Jack Grealish. They now look stacked in every segment of attack and defence.
Ings joins Ollie Watkins in the striking role, likewise, they won’t be lacking in creativity as well, with Emiliano Buendia, Leon Bailey, Anwar El Ghazi and Bertrand Traore offering their services.
Villa are planning a big project in the Premier League and the head coach, Dean Smith has the full backing and support of the management.
They have arguably the best transfer window for any team outside of the top 6 this summer, with their smart and incredible signings.
The Villians have been making moves only the big dogs are known for, and the odds is on them to finish in the top six of the Premier League table for the 2021/2022 Season.
