With Messi weighing up a move to PSG, the deal could create a perfect opportunity for Real Madrid to sign want-away star Kylian Mbappe.
Messi was unable to renew his contract with Barcelona and was forced to leave the club. This singular act has thrown the football world into frenzy since the official announcement from Barcelona.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest ever footballers, Messi has always made it publicly known that he would love to end his career at Barcelona.
Over the years, the Argentine grew to become the face and brand of Barcelona as a club, and during his time there, he wielded a lot of influence.
The news of Messi leaving Barcelona came as a major shock to the football world. No one expected it and no one saw it coming. Right now, the billionaire clubs are already throwing their weight around the player.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reported to have requested a meeting with Messi’s representatives in a bid to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
However, reports suggest that PSG are already very advanced in negotiations with the player so the Blues advances may have come too late.

If a deal were to materialise and Messi goes to PSG, it could be a perfect opportunity for Real Madrid to secure the signature of their dream target Kylian Mbappe.
It has been reported that Mbappe wants to leave the French giants this summer and would favour a move to Madrid.
Despite PSG’s excellent and promising signings this summer, it was not enough to convince the player who wants a move away from France.
Mbappe has been on Real Madrid’s radar for a long time now, and they consider the player an important part of the club’s future. Both the player and Real Madrid are very interested in the move this summer.
Mbappe’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2022 which leaves him with just a year left. Several attempts to get the Frenchman to sign a contract extension at the club has proved abortive. It is now left to PSG to decide if they want to cash in on him or risk letting him go for free next year.
Los Blancos hope that signing Mbappe will be like a replica of the Cristiano Ronaldo signing. However, it remains to be seen if the move will materialise given the current financial struggles the Spanish club is experiencing.
What do you think will happen? Will both deals materialise? Let us know in the comments section.
