The Chelsea camp has been boosted by the arrival of Azpilicueta and Christensen to training ahead of the clash against Arsenal and in preparation for the new season.
Since the end of Euro 2020, a number of Chelsea players have been returning to training in drones. The most recent players to join their teammates at Cobham are Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen. They both featured for Spain and Denmark respectively in the Euro 2020.
The reunion with other players was quite amazing as everyone was happy to be back to continue training for the new season. It was a light session for them at a wind-swept Cobham.
The pair also engaged in the warm-up with other players this morning and later split for some gentle back work before proceeding to the gym.
The goalkeepers, Kepa Arizabalaga, Mendy and new signing Bettinelli were not left out as they were put through their paces.
The group were seen stepping up preparations for the new season and Sunday’s mind series opener against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have some busy days ahead of the new season as they will also welcome North Londoners, Tottenham Hotspur to Stamford Bridge on August 4 for a friendly game.
They will then travel to Windsor Park for the UEFA Super Cup against Villarreal on August 11.
One would not be surprised at the rigorous training sessions being meted out by Tuchel to his players. This is as a result of the busy schedule ahead of the new season and the arrival of Azpilicueta and Christensen to training is definitely an added boost.
