Teenage Chelsea striker Armando Broja could be the solution to the Blues’ attacking woes if given the chance.

The Blues are planning on spending big for a striker this summer and they’ve been linked with alot of big names but the solution might not be far fetched.

Armando Broja is trying hard to impress Thomas Tuchel in order to be included in his first team plans for the new season.

The Albanian has put up eye-catching performances in the ongoing pre-season friendly matches, scoring three goals and providing an assist in three appearances.

Broja scored in an intra-squad friendly and scored and assisted in Chelsea’s 6-1 win against Peterborough United. He also scored the Blues’ first goal in Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Bournemouth.

Apart from scoring goals, the 19-year-old is largely hailed for his pressing and passing skills, while also having good positioning.

He shows good movement on and off the ball, great hold up play, awareness and self composure. Broja quite simply possesses all the qualities of a modern-day centre-forward.

The academy graduate recently signed a five-year contract extension with Chelsea as he is seen as a future prospect for the club.

Broja spent last season on loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem where he made 34 appearances scoring 11 goals for the club.

With Olivier Giroud having left for AC Milan and Tammy Abraham rumoured to also want to leave, maybe Broja can get his chance.

If Tammy leaves and Chelsea don’t sign a new striker this summer, then the teenager may likely enjoy some game time this season.

However, if the club ends up bringing in another striker, the youngster will have to settle as a third-choice striker which many don’t think will favour his growth and development as a player.

Another alternative would be to send him out on loan for at least another season in order for him to gather the required experience to eventually break into the first-team.

The young striker seems ready to take his chances as he has always insisted that he will stick with Chelsea.

When asked about his dreams of playing for the Chelsea first-team, he was quoted as saying:

“I have been at Chelsea since I was a little boy, it’s my dream club. I’ve been through the whole system with the academy and so I understand the club really well.

“It’s a nice place to be, you learn from some of the best players in the world. You’re around first-team players who are playing regularly in the Champions League, who won the Champions League, so it’s good to learn from them and they’ll help you out as well, because they’re all lovely people and know you’re younger and trying to develop.”
