The new boss has his side in pre-season training in preparation for the new campaign. His side will face Colombian side Millonarios in the Florida Cup on Sunday.
With a new manager on board, the club will hope to further improve on their previous position in the league. The Toffees finished 10th which is technically a step forward having finished the 2019/2020 season in 12th place.
It is believed that Benitez possesses the pedigree to win trophies and also take them back in contention for a European spot.
