Edouard Mendy Sends Message To Sancho, Saka And Rashford

Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy sent an emotional Instagram message to Sancho, Rashford and Saka following their racial abuse.

The England trio were subjected to a barrage of racial abuse on various social media platforms for missing their respective penalties in the shootout of the final of the just concluded Euro 2020 which England lost.

The Blues shot-stopper couldn’t hold back his support for them as he kicked against racial abuse both in football and the society at large. His message to the England internationals read:

‘Football is the sport that brings us together and makes us live incredible emotions together.

‘Behind each player, there is a team, a club, a country, a family and supporters that we want to make proud, whatever our origins.

‘But racism should not exist, either in football or in society. We cannot tolerate this kind of behaviour, and we must continue to fight it.
