According to various Spanish media outlets, Real Madrid are preparing to make a surprise summer bid for Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.
If the reports are to be believed, Los Blancos could attempt to lure France midfield powerhouse N’Golo Kante away from the Bridge if any of Chelsea’s prospective targets materialise such as the likes of Eduardo Camavinga.
Los Blancos are no doubt looking to bolster their midfield options especially now that the likes of Luca Modric and Toni Kroos are on the wrong side of age.
They have been linked with several other players like Mbappe and Haaland and now Kante has become their latest target.
The World Cup winner has been spectacular and has proved severally to be the engine room for Chelsea in midfield.

Kante joined the Blues in the summer of 2015 from Leicester city after winning a surprise Premier League with them. Since then, the 30-year-old has won three major trophies with the West London club, making 218 appearances, scoring 11 goals and registering 10 assists.
As result of his scintillating career and performance for both club and country, Kante has constantly sparked interest from top clubs around Europe.
Former PSG boss turned Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel revealed that he has also been a long time admirer of Kante and was interested in signing the player for his former club. He jokes that he is happy a move did not materialise as they are now together at Chelsea.
Kante was part of the EURO 2020 squad for France who were one of the favourites to win the tournament. However, the World Champions were kicked out by Switzerland after a six-goal thriller forced the tie to go to penalties with Kylian Mbappe eventually missing a crucial spot-kick to hand Switzerland a quarter final berth against Spain.
New Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti who is a great admirer of the Frenchman will face a stern battle with Chelsea because at the moment, it seems unlikely that they will allow one of their major stars leave.
Chelsea themselves have been equally linked with several players like Erling Haaland, Declan Rice and a host of others to further strengthen the squad.
Kante on the other hand, may not want to leave Chelsea at the moment because he has openly expressed his satisfaction and happiness playing for the club in the past and would want to stay as long as Chelsea will allow him.
