Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic has sent a heartwarming congratulatory message to his fellow teammates Jorginho and Emerson after their EURO 2020 final win. He also consoled his English teammates who lost.
Midfielder Jorginho and defender Emerson Palmeiri both featured in Italy’s Euro win against England on Sunday at Wembley.
The pair join an exclusive list of players who have been fortunate to win the European double for club and country in the same season. They achieved this at the expense of their English teammates Mason Mount, Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
“Big congrats to Jorgi and Emerson — I’m so proud of you guys,” the American told Chelsea TV.
“What an amazing accomplishment. Euro Championship. Yeah, really incredible, your team was amazing.
“And also to Reece, Chilly and Mason. Your team was amazing. Honestly, it could have went either way.
