Manchester City Set To Sign English Duo In Record-Breaking Fee

It’s been a relatively quiet transfer window for English side Manchester City but it appears the Cityzens are prepared to splash the cash.

Not one to shy away from huge transfer fees, the Premier League champions are prepared to smash their transfer record fee for a player by bringing in England duo Harry Kane and Jack Grealish to the Etihad.

Both players are currently away on international duty for England at the Euros but City have become confident that they could seal both deals after the tournament.

Harry Kane has been very vocal about his intention of leaving Tottenham this summer. The Spurs forward has sited a lack of competitive ambition by the club and that he would like to go elsewhere where he is guaranteed trophies.

What better club are you guaranteed of winning trophies than Man City? Pep Guardiola’s side have taken his words as a green light to bring the multiple golden boot winner to compliment their title-winning squad. According to reports, they have made an offer of players plus cash for Kane and are confident to land the deal. Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling are amongst the players who are reportedly going to be used as a make-weight to get the signing over the line.

Meanwhile, City also plan to swoop in for highly-rated Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish. Although Villa are unwilling to let go of their most prized asset, reports suggest they will listen to City if they cough-up up to their 100 million euros valuation of the player.

The 25-year-old still has four years left on his contract at Villa having signed a long term contract extension last summer. But the Villa captain is said to be interested in the prospect of playing elsewhere having only played at Villa. He is also buoyed by the chance to work with Pep Guardiola.

What do you think? Can Manchester City get both deals done?
