Toni Kroos has replied Mason Mount in what has become an ongoing feud between both players.
It all started in the pre-match interview of the Champions League semi-final second leg. Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos was asked if he had any player from the opposition he was wary of.
He replied that in his 15-year career, he has never had to “lose sleep” over any opponent.
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount seemed to have taken his comments to heart. Mount was amongst the scorers when Chelsea defeated Real Madrid 2-0 in the ensuing match.
The English side were by far the better of the sides on the night. They knocked out Zidane’s team to advance to the finals against Manchester City.
After the match, the Englishman was quick to hit back at Toni Kroos, saying “they need to lose sleep over us“.
On Thursday night, Toni Kroos also had some words for Mount. The German took to Twitter to respond.
“Still sleeping ok. But well done yesterday. congrats. Good luck in your first CL final.”

The statement was an obvious dig at the young Englishman who has never played in a Champions League final neither has he won anything in his senior professional career.
Toni Kroos on the other hand has won the lot as a player. Some of his accolades include the coveted Champions League trophy which he has won four times in his career with two different clubs. He is also a World Cup winner with Germany.
Mount who is just 22 years old only recently broke into the Chelsea team in the 2019-20 season. He endured loan spells to Vitesse and Derby County before former boss Frank Lampard eased him into the Chelsea starting XI.
