Man City ran away 2-0 winners in their second leg semi-final tie against PSG at the Etihad on Tuesday night.
The result meant they won both legs on an aggregate of 4-1 and advance to the Champions League final for the first time in their history.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola finally ended a run of four consecutive semi-final eliminations, reaching the final for the first time since 2010-11 with Barcelona.
They also set the record for the longest ever winning run by an English team in European Cup/Champions League history, having won their last seven matches.
Pep Guardiola’s men are also the first English side to win 11 games in a single European Cup/Champions League campaign.
City terrorised their hosts on the counter while keeping a defensively solid shape.
The match started with drama as there was an early call for penalty to PSG. Neymar’s cross into Man City’s penalty area was adjudged to have hit the arm of Zinchenko and the referee pointed to the spot.
But on closer inspection by VAR and the referee via the pitch-side monitor, the decision was overturned as replay showed the ball hit the player’s shoulder.
A few minutes after that, Mahrez opened the scoring for City. Ederson’s outfield pass found Zinchenko down the left. He pulls it back for De Bruyne whose shot was blocked but Mahrez made no mistake as he drilled it past Keylor Navas in goal.
PSG soon rallied, coming close to an equaliser but Marquinho’s effort could only hit the crossbar of the Man City post.
At the other end, Kevin De Bruyne beats Navas but his attempt sailed just over the top of the crossbar.
Deep in stoppage time, City had another chance to add to their lead after a swift counter attack but Mahrez’s shot was blocked by Navas at the near post.

Pep Guardiola’s side continued the same way they ended the first half, but they had several chances denied them by Navas.
Another brilliant counterattack by Man City was once again PSG’s undoing. De Bruyne has a swift one-two pass with Foden who eventually picks out Mahrez unmarked at the far post. The Algerian lifted his shot over the keeper and into the back of the net for his second of the game.
Things went from bad to worse for the visitors as they were soon down to 10 men after Angel Di Maria was shown red for kicking at Fernandinho.
It could easily have been worse for PSG with 10 minutes left to play but Foden’s shot was saved by Navas.
Two goals down and a man down, Les Parisiens had no answers against their hosts. They were simply outclassed by Pep and his boys.
