The London Football Awards is a ceremony that recognises London’s finest football players every season. It was held on the 27th of April.
Being a “London” award, only specific clubs and their players are recognised.
These clubs are: Arsenal, AFC Wimbledon, Brentford, Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leyton Orient, Millwall, QPR, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford and West Ham.
The ceremony this year was held virtually due to the COVID-19 restrictions placed in the country.
The coveted Player of the season award was given to Tottenham’s Harry Kane. He edged out the likes of Son Heung-min, Declan Rice, Soucek and Mason Mount to the award.
The Spurs forward has blasted through to the top of both the goals and assists rankings this season with 21 goals and 13 assists.

West Ham manager David Moyes was awarded the manager of the season for his exploits with West Ham.
The former Manchester United boss has masterminded his side’s great form this season. He is also on course to guide them to a top-four finish.
Arsenal teenager, Bukayo Saka was voted the Best Young Player in London. The teenager has been immense for the Gunners all season.
He shrugged off competition from fellow teammate Emile Smith-Rowe, Declan Rice, Mason Mount and Reece James to land the award.
Points needed to clinch the title in Europe’s top five leagues
The goalkeeper of the season award was handed to West Ham’s Lukasz Fabianski. He beat other nominees like Edouard Mendy, Alphonso Areola, Guaita and others to the award.
The Women’s Super League Player of the season was awarded to Chelsea’s Fran Kirby.
Meanwhile, Brentford’s Ivan Toney was crowned the EFL player of the year.
Roy Hodgson was given an Outstanding Contribution Award as recognition for his works over the years. The Crystal Palace boss has been coaching for 46 seasons!
